Genealogy and Family History Centers

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has the largest genealogy library in the world, which is based in Salt lake City, Utah. Branches of this library are known as Family History Centers (FHC).

There are more than 4,000 FHCs around the world in over 80 countries. These are all staffed by volunteers and some of their resources can be used free of charge by the general public. (They do make a small charge for ordering microfilm or microfiche.)
